Richelieu: the furniture tradition
Only healthy trees arrived at full maturity are used for making furniture and wood panelling. They are made in solid cherry. The back, shelves and body's drawers are in ash wood or chestnut wood for hunt all insects: spiders, mites, cockroaches, bedbugs, termites…
The love of the profession
All furniture and paneling in the Richelieu collections are made entirely in France. The assemblies by mortise and tenon locked by real dowels, the body of the drawers mounted by dovetail unveil some of the original features of ancient carpentry. With the gouge and chisel, sculptors carve ornamental motifs and moldings, each with his own sensibility that makes each piece unique.
Richelieu: antiquarians furniture
